True Love

True Love came knocking,

Knocking at his door.

At first he would not answer,

He wanted to be alone.

He never thought it to be this person,

He always thought it would be another.

At first they were friends,

She was the matchmaker,

The one who knew, but didn’t follow it.

Then one night he was outside the door,

And once again, True Love came to the door.

It knocked, and he answered,

Suddenly the door was shut in their faces.

They tried to open it,

But budge it would not.

Then when he realized who it was and what it was,

They made a promise through the door,

The promise will keep forever,

But True Love is still on the other side, knocking.
